A good friend of mine, Tom Harris just started working in the Decatur IL area as a Farmers Insurance Agent and so I went to visit him at his new office in downtown Decatur on Wednesday January 18th to get a quote on my home owners insurance. What I discovered was that I could get a lot better policy and for less money than I was currently paying.
Since my auto insurance was with 21st Century, a company already owned by Farmers Insurance I asked Tom what it would cost me to combine my auto insurance and my home owners insurance together, wow, was I surprised!
I have been paying over $1200.00 a year for the two separate insurance company policies prior to my visit with Tom.
After going over both of my policies and actually receiving better coverage on both my house and my car, I switched!
Now my cost is around $700.00 a year, that's a $500.00 a year in savings!!!
